Probabilistic search for business credit. OneSearch finds the right company from a messy name and address, out of millions of near-matches, and shows how sure it is. Part of Experian’s largest business credit portfolio, about $50M.
What I did
- Owned OneSearch, which scores possible matches by likelihood so credit teams find the right company the first time. It raised business match rates about 3%.
- Took DataShare, a COVID-era lending product, from 0 to 1 with the three largest U.S. lenders.
- Delivered a migration that had stalled for years in 4 months, moving most customers and cutting search time in half.
- Won the Social Innovation award at Experian’s 2020 global hackathon.
What happened
Experian reports OneSearch runs about 80% faster with up to 20% more exact matches, and the unit’s largest product line held 4% growth through the pandemic.
